Identity in the mirror

In the beautiful setting of the Ancient Theatre of Taormina is staged the show Thucydides. Athens against Melo, directed and narrated by Alessandro Baricco. Together with him, the composer Giovanni Sollima, author of the original music, the prestigious ensemble of cellists 100Cellos, conducted by Enrico Melozzi, and the actresses Stefania Rocca and Valeria Solarino. A show of strong aesthetic impact and evocative magic, in which the intensity of the bows, combined with the power of the narrative, bring to life the pages of The War of the Peloponnese by Thucydides, operates as timely in his invitation to claim justice and right even when all seems lost, even when peace seems now a mirage.
