Identity, whether personal or collective, whether historical or spiritual, is a cornerstone of geopolitics and international security. It can inspire minds and hearts and, with them, strategic and political economic, social and military cultures. However, in an increasingly variegated, interconnected and dynamic operating context, the question arises spontaneously: what image do states and communities have of themselves and, above all, how does their perception of identity influence geopolitical dynamics?
