Profession of Faith

Reason and Religion, Cinema and Truth: A Priest in Dialogue with the World (and Scorsese)

General

On March 3, 2016, in New York, Father Antonio Spadaro and Martin Scorsese meet to discuss “Silence,” the Italian-American director’s film about the persecution of Jesuits in Japan. From that initial conversation on the link between art and spirituality emerges an ongoing dialogue culminating today in “Dialogues on Faith” (La nave di Teseo), a vibrant testament of faith where the tapestry of cinema history intertwines with the complexities of personal narrative, offering a deeply human portrait of one of the undisputed Masters of the Seventh Art.

In conversation with Federico Pontiggia, Il Fatto Quotidiano.
