«A writing machine that puts into play on the page all those elements that we are used to consider the most jealous attributes of psychological intimacy, of lived experience, of the unpredictability of mood shots, the jolts and heartbreaks and inner enlightenments». Already in a lecture in 1968, Calvino questioned the possibility of a machine capable of answering the questions and dilemmas of humanity. But maybe this is the real puzzle that we find ourselves dissolving in the era of AI: is the question or is the answer to connote humanity?
