In Il re del gelato, ristina Cassar Scalia weaves the plot of a mystery that digs into the minds of the characters, insinuates doubts, reconstructs stories that all have a minimum common denominator: Sicily, the land of the main character, the commissioner Vanina, and its author. It is a Sicily more and more detached from old preconceptions: female, woman and free, able to channel its destiny on never predictable tracks.
