Born and raised in Santa Barbara Galatina (Lecce, Italy), she began her training at her mother’s ballet school, before being admitted to the Scuola di Ballo della Scala at the age of 13. After graduating, she joined the Berlin Staatsballett for three seasons before returning to Italy at the invitation of Makhar Vaziev, to join the ballet company of La Scala. Here she debuted in leading roles and was promoted to Prima Ballerina at the age of 22. In November 2023 she was named Etoile del Teatro alla Scala after a performance by Onegin.
