A doctor of ophthalmology, she lives in Catania. She has achieved success with the novels Sabbia nera (2018 and 2019), La logica della lampara (2019 and 2020), La salita dei Saponari (2020 and 2021), L’uomo del porto (2021 and 2022), Il talento del cappellano (2021) and La carrozza della Santa (2022) – all published by Einaudi – which have as their protagonist the vice-police officer Vanina Guarrasi; a TV series is being planned from these books, which are also sold abroad. With Giancarlo De Cataldo and Maurizio de Giovanni she wrote the six-hand novel Tre passi per un delitto (Einaudi Stile Libero 2020).
