Marina Abramović, an artist born in 1946 in Belgrade, is famous for her pioneering use of performance as an art form. He explored physical and mental limits through his body, gaining international recognition. Among his most famous performances are “Rhythm 0” (1974), “The Artist is Present” (2010), “The House with the Ocean View” (2002) and “Balkan Baroque” (1997). He founded the Marina Abramović Institute (MAI) and published memoirs and biographies. His solo exhibition at the Royal Academy in 2023 was a historic event.
